So I figure any of us that have had handguns for more than a year will tend to have more than one, so I was curious as to the way you guys determine what you buy.

I don't quite qualify as I only got my RPAL upgrade in May.
Bought a 9mm CZ75b for xDPA and IPSC and a High Standard Revolver in .22lr for plinking for
my daughter, girlfriend and myself.

Will buy another 9mm for IPSC production, probably M&P in the hopes my daughter or GF gets in to it. Failing that, I get another gun!

GF wants a Smith and Wesson M&P (old ones) in .38 S&W or .38

I want an Enfield .38 S&W as my Great Uncle carried one in WWII.

Want a more modern wheel gun for IDPA.

Have to have a 1911 as well. Always wanted one.

Think that's it for handguns.
Need 3 more shotguns and 4 more rifles too.

That gives me 16 total and about all that I desire and have a valid reason for.
In other words, all that I can justify to the boss.

I've bought little over the past few years. I did buy four this last year though. I'm waiting for my 12(6) legal action against the CFO to be resolved. If possitive then I will be in the market for more toys.

I'm an impulse buyer. I just bought a Baby Browning. I've always admired their fine engineering and when one came up on the EE I couldn't resist it.

I wonder if I can get it onto my wilderness ATC?

OH, you mean total number of handguns.

I misread the question, since the choice of numbers is so small I thought you were asking the number what we bought this month.

total

As a new CGN buyer I,m only up to 8 in the last month, 6 prohibs 1 rifle 1 restricted, as to total some where in the mid 50,s with over 35 prohibs, got to make room for more hey?

I've only owned handguns for a couple of years now. 1 semi 9mm, 1 revolver, and I plan to add a little Ruger semi 22 to my safe sometime soon. I'm not sure what / if I will buy anymore after that, but a guy should probably also have a 1911.

gee lets see, offhand xd 9, high power practical, springfield loaded, norc comander-bobtailed and ambi saftey, p-08, p-38, walther PP, baby browning, 08 browning, 1922 browing, 4006, two star's in 9 bayard, 629, 625, m-27 6", m27 2.5", New service, .455, taurus 17 (i think, 22 cal) sw airweight bodygaurd, savage 07 ( i think, cant remember 32 cal) maybe another older browning....not sure may have missed a few.....

I'm an impulse buyer. This type of behaviour sure makes it hard to stay on the budget my wife made up for me. ;) :runaway:

i've got two glocks 22,21, had to be told not to buy the 17, from the girlie lol. . shooting/and guns is like crack, once you start its hard as hell to stop, then again why would you want to. after my glock 17 i will be getting a lwrc srt, my god that thing is so ###y.

Just a comment, but 6 or more is pretty low for the upper end of your poll, I'm sure there are quite a few guys here with 50+. I'm not there yet but I am working on it so I voted 6 or more.;):D

There is one category that the poll misses, the crusty old guy with 100,000 rounds through the one handgun he's owned for 10 years and rebuilt himself (twice). Those guys are always fun.
