I am currently looking to buy a good quality case to accomodate 3 or 4 handguns. It's not for storage, it's to bring my guns to the range. Any recomendation?

I have one of these

does the job, meets all the legal requirements
I have one of those two. My girlfriend got me the two pistol version as a gift. I used it for a while but now I use the zip-up padded canvas cases that Wholesale sells for ~$8. It's just easier for me to have each gun in a separate case and then the mags go in a canvas CED mag holder from IPSC.org.

I use a pelican 1520. It currently carried 6 boxes of ammo a ruger GP 100, and SIG P220, three additional mags, two speedloaders. Once I rearrange the contents, I know I can squeeze in and other .22lr pistol as well. (As soon as I get one) If you don't need the depth of the 1520 (I use for ammo) then the 1500 will be just as good, but is a tab thinner. Still good for three guns and if you take advantage of the depth you can work some accessories in there easily as well.

As for pelican cased in general, I can most highly recommend them. I've been traveling for 8-9 years for a living and I use the 1500, 1520 and 1510 carry on. Most excellent cases in general.

I use a Metal tool box that looks like a big briefcase from Wla-Mart; it has board on the inside for tools that fits most of my magazine also. It was $19.99 and has a lock on each latch so it seems fairly secure.

if its just carrying you want, i use an old regular briefcase with a num lock and wrap the gun in a t-shirt (in all legality)

Thanx for all the reply. I have check for Pelican case this afternoon and then realized that i can order a very similar product from one of the supplyer that i do buisiness with. It's called Storm Case. At my cost it will be slightly cheaper than the Pelican and it come with cubed multi-layer foam interior for easy customization. Here is a brochure from the company: http://ww w.gentec-intl.com/GentecInc/commodity/3411/brochureE.pdf

I lined mine with egg crate foam. It locks..that's all the law requires.

I use this double side case. One side for my AR15 16" and the extra 11.5" upper. The other side for my handguns. Locks on both side. $79.99 US +shipping.

Cheap insurance IMO, $300 for a case to keep a $4000 rifle, $150 for a case to carry $2500 worth of revolvers, knowing that my babies are safe PRICELESS

from my point of view a gun not made to withstand a little bump is not worth (no matter what price)$... it's a gun after all, i have yet to find one that'll break when hit against a branch

im a big fan of pelican cases as well and i have a 1520, but if you have access to stormcases for cheaper, they're pretty much as good as the pelican cases so you will be good with them also!

i use a beat up old tool box, that is covered with stickers on the outside. no one would ever know that inside it carries about $5,000 worth of handguns. foam is verey cheap, so use lots of it.

But tools are very high on thieves hit lists as well as they are pricey, always in demand with a great underground market for them.
