I am taking a bike tour up around North Eastern Ontario in the next couple weeks and am wondering if there are any good gunshops north of Orillia in the Sudbury North Bay Timmins region, maybe over as far as Pembroke.

Not sure what you are interested in,

Kenogami Gun shop is on Hwy 11 in Kenogami just past Hwy 66 (Swastika/Kirkland Lake turn off) I would not qualifiy this as a good gun shop.

Don Kennedy works out of his home and only deals with used firearms.

Lots of guns to look at, though.
And the owner, Grizzly Adams, or whatever his name is, is a hoot!

Don Kennedy does sell new firearms but sometimes needs to order them in, I have purchased two new firearms from him and he does have good pricing.

Don

My apologies. I was relaying the information HE provided me when I spoke to him. He advised me that he only dealt with used firearms and not new.

Not sure if they're still open, but Albert's Army Surplus in Timmins used to have a nice collection. As far as the Kenogami Gun Shop goes, "Grizz" is the gunsmith, Jack. A super nice guy, really knows his guns, but you'd better not be in a hurry.:)

alberts army surplus is now alberts sporting goods or something like that, they dont have pistols but not a bad variety of used and new hunting rifles and actually a decent selection of optics carries almost the full line of bushnell elite series at decent prices, i was just up in timmins a couple weeks ago,as far as kenogami gun shop if you get up there once hunting season starts it may be hard to get ahold of jack the gunsmith but peter the owner should be around, they have decent hours closed sunday and monday but open till 9 at night the rest of the time if iam not mistaken,be prepaired to haggle a bit but if your a serious buyer there reasonable to deal with

No problem I was just wanted to let you know that he did sell new, maybe that has changed but the last new one I purchased from him was in July of this year. I know that he mostly deals in used but he has been able to get me a couple of new handguns and they have been the best prices I could find.
