Handgun for small hands

Take a look at the new Glock 48. It has a compact frame that might be suitable.
Reaching the slide release is just a matter of practice & muscle memory, however, in most instances you can ignore the slide release altogether: chamber a round by simply pulling the slide back using the grasping groove & just let go.

I would take a look at some guns in person. I have small hands as well, but the glock19 feels better.

Hello everyone,

I am wondering what some of the people here with small hands/short fingers are using for a handgun. I have been looking into buying my first handgun, but am having trouble finding something that I can reach everything with. Specifically the slide release.
Should I be worried about reaching the release without having to more my hand around the grip?

Currently the only option I have found that fits well is the Beretta ATX. Not currently looking for a revolver.

Thanks for the input!

Try a CZ 75 or better yet an 85 combat . I don't have huge hands and they fit me perfect. very accurate and easy to shoot.

I don't worry about the slide release but I don't as a rule shoot speed matches , so don't matter.
All my 22's I can reach everything with out shifting, some of my center fire's I can some I can't1911.s are good, other than the mag release.
