Handgun Hunting In Canada

This was/is a political decision, it had nothing to do with the accuracy, reliabilty or suitability of handguns. How could they possibly continue with their fear mongering campaign against guns, handguns in particular, if they allowed the public to carry them around and go hunting with them. It's the death of 1000 cuts, first you severely restrict the allowable reasons for owning a handgun, then you demonize this inanimate object and slowly reduce what type(s) you can own, what you can do with it, and add as many regulations and policies as possible to further restrict and discourage the ownership and use of handguns.
Remember, this has nothing to do with crime control or public safety, but it is an essential part of social reengineering that is central to the the idealogy of the Liberals, NDP, Bloc and the antis.
Now would be a real good time to join the CSSA.

Yes, well, people do lots of things while they have fun at the range, that they would not normally do while hunting.

I've been saying it for yrs. there should be no reason why I can't take a 30-30contender out to my back yard bush, where I can already legaly hunt deer & use my pistol!
My friend in floida nailed a 450 lb. wild bore with a .45!
I seen a pic. of Ted Nuggent down a elk with a GLOCK!
It sure would be a lot lighter to carry!

Only because thats how long for the stitches to come out after I opened up my hand cleaning my Savage .380 Monday afternoon. Gotta go get a tetunus in the morning. Not really liking that gun right now.

You should read some of Elmer Keiths escapades. Very interesting results and reading.
