Handgun Hunting (positive posts only. NO #####ing!)

I was under the impression that trappers can use thier handgun to dispatch snare caught animals that were still alive, but perhaps I am mistaken.

They certianly used to be able to do so.

Yeah, but they can't hunt with it. It's strictly for killing animals they've already caught.

Me to. I recall a few I knew of in the B.C. interior that used to pack a .22 handgun on the trapline for that express purpose. Then, or now, I don't know if it's legal, but they did do it.

Can we please skip the "no I said" "no you said" bickering? It really takes away from the thread at hand, unless of course there is a huge misunderstanding that directly affects the direction of the thread and clarificatiuon is truly needed. If not, this will soon turn into another thread like the other thread ..... which by the way, I was just thinking ... if we were to add up everyone's time spent on that thread (posting and reading), that time and energy could have made for a whole bunch of letters of support going out to MP's and the like.

I want addresses to write to (for each province), and input for a poster. I'll put them here, and in each province gun nutz can put them up at their ranges.

Seriously, what's in it for them is the good will of the shooting community, which CAN translate into a large portion of the population, if we could just make everyone see the light. Again, if you hunt, own a gun, would like to own a gun, might inherit a gun, or get happy pants when you see guns on TV, the liberals are not your friends (no matter what they say, if they're breathing, they're lieing). And no matter what you're take on handgun hunting is, remember, once they're done dissing that, it will be YOUR sport they decide isn't worthwhile next. - dan
