I was wondering what type dutie the gun dealers are charge at the borders for handguns? I have been looking for a beretta 92fs 9mm, the suggested retail price is 600$ new in the US. I understand the price is going to be alittle different. The price source I am using has been dead on for the rifles and shotys I have purchased from the local shops some cases I paid less. but the price differece for handguns is incredable. I have found the 92fs for as much as 900$ new. I'm not here to bad mouth the local shops. I'm just curious to why the price differece!!

There is no "duty" on anything made in the usa.
We just pay pst/gst on what we import.

If your beretta was manufactured in Italy it's 3%... or at least that what it was when I bought my cx4

The cost of importation fees(brokerage) will most likely be transfered to the customer as well as the tax.
