Handgun sales?

I just bought a Glock 34 gen 4 9mm and looking for maybe a couple more if may budget can take it. It sucks to be on a fixed income. :kickInTheNuts:

Didn't really care for semi-auto ARs as I played with the real thing in another life. Never bothered to have an AR type restricted for the longest time, but didn't want to miss the boat just in case.

So what if they prohib ARs and I'm out a grand. I've invested way more than that in stupid mutual funds and lost. Life is short, enjoy it. Still hoping it won't happen inspite of all our letters/emails etc.

But if the Gov't said to hand in your restricted and prohibs, I'll bet we'd be tripping over each other on the way to the smelter. 'Cause it's the Canadian way.

Well, not quite. If even 1/2 of the ~557,000 RPAL holders stood together and said, NO!, it would likely work. But we all know that that simply won't happen- and so does the Gov't. I wonder how many RPAL holders have written to Goodale etc. I tried to get one of my ultra-Conservative handgun-owning neighbours (who can also write well) to write. "Nah... waste of time" etc. We don't even have a united organization speaking for us, but three who won't talk to each other. What we need is a wealthy benefactor to chip in a few million with instructions to the pro-gun organizations to run full-page ads in the Saturday editions of all the major papers for a few months. That would make Ottawa sit up and pay attention.

As it is, we may well be lucky to ba eventually allowed to own llicenced slingshots if the Libs get electd again.

Rant over. Another glass of wine, please. :)

I just sold a 9mm 1911 exc , tuned for 365.oo tax included, people went thought this crap in the 1990's chickened out , scared to lose a bit of money, now they can't play with short ppk's , FAL's or what ever.
I don't like public ranges, but up to last few yrs had my own. Just go buy a gun, any cheap of crap, if you are worried about the money, Ammo will soon cost more than the gun
There was a nice 1911 norinco on the EE yesterday I think? 45 maybe, but a gun guy has to have a 45, than shoot 9mm, and 232 for ammo cost.

When my Dad passed away in the early 2000's (and when I didn't have a licence) I took his Walther PPK .32 in to a gun store...with a few other guns and sold the lot for $400 iirc. Yeah it hurt a bit because I knew what they were worth but I wasn't deep into guns at the time even though I was eligible for a FAC after passing the safety course prior to the 1996 fiasco.

It was just a hassle at the time but wasn't interested in any sort of grandfathering and restricted to shooting restricted or prohibs at a range...still ain't but It was dark times back then for gun owners and I FULLY understand what you guys are saying. I lived thru it.

Just bought a Sig p226 mk25. Will keep writing letters and supporting the orgs and not going to get too worked up at this stage.

I'm just speeding up to get some handguns that are on my wish list and will last a long time just in case there will be a ban that includes government confiscation when I die (grandfathering).
Recently got an MkII, 686 and a shadow so that will be a solid handgun base :)

Well going to enjoy the new CZ P10F before the ban :) fvck em as soon as it gets here

You need to post pictures and also to let us about your take on this new CZ!

I bought an AR lower a few months back and just bought a Browning Buckmark.... Next I would like another CZ pistol in 9mm.

Best to buy whatever restricted firearms that you want now so that you can be grandfathered in . Plus regardless of what Trudeau and the Liberals do ; they can't stay in power forever , and a new govt. will probably reverse any new gun regulations put fourth by the Liberals. Firearm owners make up a very large voting block , and really cannot be ignored .

Just like the obedience bred and trained Britts back in 1997/8.
Lined up at 5:00AM flashlights in hand to beat the rush in front of the cop shops to turn their guns in.
Saw it on TV. Disgusting.
We're 20 years behind following in the UKs foot steps.

You must be young. 12.x is not a cool ###y club that you get to be in and wave your special card around to all your non 12.x having friends to impress chics. Its a mark of shame. The shame of being the custodian of state owned guns that you can neither enjoy or sell.

Buy the guns you want to use. Unless you have the stomach for non-compliance and a life in fear of criminal penalties, having anything in the 12.x class will just lead to regret and wasted money.

I enjoy my 12.6 's on just as many range trips as my restricteds. Will likely sell them for more than I paid for them. What's cool and attracts range bunnies is how small and ###y they are !

Fear mongering a board member away from an entirely legal and very enjoyable class of firearms. Nice work.

Just to update....Since starting this thread I have listed 5 handguns on the EE. 4 of 5 have sold and 2 of those within 24 hours of listing. All the sold guns (Python, Diamondback, Manurhin MR88 and a HK P7) went either at ask or within 90-95% of ask. I guess the market is still doing OK :d.....assuming you are selling guns that are in demand and you price them fairly.

Yes agreed to recent observations.
The Colt fanboys trying to recoup thier cash expenditures, and they are selling out of fear.

Yeah, those stupid 'Colt Fanboys', who would ever even want a piece of shyte like a Python anyway, right? What's wrong, can't afford one?

Indeed, and thank you for a very fair deal on the nickel, will be nice to have a matched set.

Plus one Colt King Cobra bright polished SS like bnib.

For a bunch of scared 'Fan Boys', still seems to be healthy interest in those junky guns. I received an unsolicited offer for one of mine this week that was extremely generous, from another serious collector (and a real gentleman, enjoyed talking to him today). I declined, as it's a one of a kind Python, but he did say if I ever change my mind...either way. I'm not terribly worried about it, but in a few months I will be in the same boat as Caramel and able to move to the USA if we decide to.

Boy some people have thin skin here on CGN. I did not think fanboy term would hurt someone's feelings. I myself have two Colt DA revolvers. An Anaconda in 44 Magnum and a Colt Model 3-5-7. So I have never felt the need to lay out the cash for a Python.

Have a nice night folks.

Well, must have really misunderstood your tone (yeah, Fan Boy is generally a deragatory term), and talking about 'selling out of fear'....also. But hey, I apologize for misunderstanding that you were also a Fan Boy, and part of the Club. Next time, do the Secret Handshake and I promise to not have thin skin.
