I'm looking for a scope setup for a .22 pistol, to fit on a weaver scope rail. I saw a really compact bushnell red dot at wholesale sports for $180. The larger models seem to be much cheaper. I've never used a scoped handgun, so I'd appreciate some suggestions, and I'd like to stay under $200.

i have a cheaper tasco reddot sight w/multi brightness and two colors for the dot, i have seen them at places like walmart or can-tire for about $50, most gun shops have something for less than $100 or even around $50.
there is NCstar that sell some cheaper products. i have looked at some and they seem allright.
im thinking of getting a small reddot like this one, for a neos pistol i just bought from a member here.

I use one of those 50-60 dollar Tasco red dots from canadian tire on my cz .22. Works well and the .22 doesn't recoil enough to knock the red dot out of whack. They are also well suited to the weaver base.

I have an NcSTAR D4B Tactical 4 Reticle Electrodot. Cost about $90 US. Works well. I find the different reticle selection good for outdoor shooting. Also has 7 intensity settings.
