Would this meet the regs for secure storage?

The barrel is removed and stored in a locked cabinet apart from the lower and slide which is stored in another locked cabinet without a trigger lock. Much like the military stores their pistols.

Just curious.

Thanks,

HA

I agree with skoal.

Also just because the army does it does not mean its smart or logical. After 4 years I learned that the army is the only place you can clean something that's not dirty.

This goes for equipment used by the army as well. Its almost always lowest bidder or a friend's company which means they over pay. Some good stuff does get through like the C7 and the old heavy parkas

Well the military way starts with the different firearms being stored in a VAULT to begin with.

The whole splitting firearms in 2 or 3 pieces has nothing to do with conforming to the canadian gun laws, which we are more or less subjected to (we use a lot of prohibs stuff). Its made to prevent idiots like Lortie to quickly access a functionnal weapon and make us all look bad on TV again...

To answer your question now, you still need a trigger or cable lock on the frame. As ridiculous as it is, lots of us have AR15 stripped lowers with trigger locks.

I have many stripped lowers all with trigger locks on them.... Looks so dumb and it's so odd.....

Don't be so careless.

You'll need a time machine in order to stash the lower in a locked bank vault...in a parallel dimension, totally unreachable from the barrel.

If it saves one child....

oh, the firing pin is to be hidden prison style.
