Handguns used on most Federal Service Jobs

Ministry Corrections Provincial level, a nice leather pouch with some non latex surgical gloves!!!! ANd they also provide a radio clip, but not always a radio for it!!!!

Haha, i remember at Canada's Wonderland once, I lost my hat and needed some help looking for it. It was night time so I asked a "security guard" for assistance and she said "sorry I don't have a flashlight". They don't even issue a security guard a flashlight? Judas Priest, why even pay them at all?

I found these two to be interesting:

Saanich PD carrying the G36(didn't know anyone was using these in Canada)
Halifax Regional carrying P90

Actually, I believe the Victoria ERT uses the G36 as well as Vancouver PD ERT, also there are some officers in Greater Victoria who appear to be issued a Glock in 45 GAP (I can't confirm that 100%, but I'd bet money on it, having seen an unmarked unit leaving the range and finding 45 GAP casings all over the bay they were in)

I believe Delta PD ERT are also using the G36.

Here in BC, use of .40 is legislated.

Doesn't it say 'not less than .40' before all of the other usual exceptions - note from Chief Constable, under cover, ERT, employee of the month :)D).

That's not a knock on the police, but really, what the hell is the provincial government doing telling professionals what tool to use, then providing all sorts of ways for them to get the tools they need through 'exemptions'. Most of the people who drafted that legislation wouldn't know a forty if they tripped on it.

Why no .45 Glocks used by MNR, Police, Park Rangers etc.? seems strange that only 9mm and .40 are used.

no .45 at all...
my guess: too big of a hole. here in Canada, criminals have the right to a second chance (3rd and 4th and more sometimes :()
