I was perusing a recent issue of Fur-Fish-Game at the grocery store a few days back and there was an article about a fellow who did a write up on his hunting experiences with his Handi Rifle in .22 Hornet. He decided to paint it with various shades of camo colours in a mottled pattern like woodland camo. The thing is, he showed his set up and it had a scope, a bi-pod, and a very nice looking scope base that was long and sturdy looking. I want one, I looked through the whole article hoping he would identify the make and model of the scope base, but he did not identify it, which sort of put me off. I want to put a scope on my Handi-Rifle, but I need to know the make / model of the one he had. I really like the extra rail out front and how strong and sturdy it looked. Does anyone know what sort of base he was using? Best regards, Tony

I don't have the mag, I usually just read them @ the rack. :D I was over on graybeard outdoors and it sort of looks like a H&R base. The weaver bases for the NEF are horrible, not quality wise, I want to mount a shotgun scope on my rifle so the objective bell will be flush with the breech. The Weaver base forces you to use high rings and overhang the objective bell around 3" or so, which I think is sucky. :D

The guys over on the HR forum helped me out. It seems the base of choice is either the H&R standard or the Weaver #82.
