Handi rifles discontinued???

I have a "gold trigger" (Miroku) BLR 81 takedown in 450 Marlin which is just as portable as the handi-rifle and the Pachmayr recoil pad makes things alot easier on the old shoulder bones.
A much better rifle in every repect - shooter comfort, killing power, fire power (lever action is very slick and fast), looks, faster to assemble when taken down in the pack sack, no lawyer safety to get me killed in bear country - you name it.
Every time I go back to Alaska to visit friends and relatives and go on hiking trips that's the gun you'll find in my packsack.

It has ZERO killing power in your packsack.

What's the difference between a handi rifle and 760? Nothing they're both single shot!

Get it, cause the 760 jams sooooo much.

Apparently you lack the physical strength to rack the 760 with enough force to avoid a jam Better get to the gym

I assemble it and carry it once I get on the trails but a guy with your experience and bush savvy probably already figured that out.

Nope... but I rebored three .35 Rem's to .358... just sold my last swap barrel set last week... this one here (see pic)... it is 7mm-08 & .358 Win;

I kept three swap barrel sets... the rest are gone... why? Because, you can't keep them all... the overcrowding was leading to starvation and disease... the humane thing was to release some back into the wild.

Sad news,If true, I have in 22 lr,.357 mag, 35 rem, 35 Whelen, 45-70 and I just order another in 444 this morning. Simple no frills guns that are a joy to carry reliable and super accurate.

I have a brand new in the box Buffalo Classic in 45-70, very nice gun for the price.
