Handled a Ruger Blackhawk 357 and loved it

Where did you get your Hunter grip frame?
I've never understood why Ruger doesn't offer that grip as an option on some models or at least make it easy to order as a replacement.

The distributor, Snapshots. I sent them the exact part numbers and they ordered. Took a couple months but it was painless. It did need to be fitted and finished though as the frames are rough. Brownells and Numrich stock the frames in the US but will not ship them as they are restricted under ITARs.

I agree, they should be more available. IMO they should be stock on all SBHs. Apparently Ruger did a run of the SBH 454s with the hunter frames but in very limited numbers.
