I got an ACOG TA01NSN for my Stag. From Trijicon's website, here is some info;

Trijicon's Website said:
The TA01NSN was designed specifically for the US Special Operations Command SOPMOD M4 Carbine. To meet their requirements, the reticle bullet drop compensator and range finding stadia lines were based on the trajectory of the 62 grain bullet from a 14.5 inch barrel, flattop mount (Picatinny rail Mil.Std.1913).

What would be the muzzle velocity of the 62gr from the 14.5"?

What I'm hoping to achieve is a load that works from my 16" bbl with a 69gr SMK, using Varget.

Any ballistics wizards care to help?

Thanks! :cheers:

The BC 0.394 for the SS109 type bullet. My ballistic calculation shows that you won't see much difference until it is beyond 400m. As a rule of thumb, zeroing at 300m will give you the less difference.

You need to load it hot.

Hey Silver here is another good link with tons of info, I am only part way reading it all, http://www.ammo-oracle.com/body.htm BTW I want a Stag too, what do you have ? I am (still ) waiting on my RPAL, ok so I sent it in only 5 days ago... 40 to go...
I don't mean to be a ####, but it just took me 25 days to get a VZ58 transfered into my name. You may be up to 3 months out from getting your AR15. :(

hey Cancer, no dickness taken ( is that a word ?) :D 3 month's Wahhh !!!! :(
Well I would rather have painful truth instead of naively thinking everything will go according to "usual" timeframes. Hmm maybe I will start buying accessories now... and then the AR
