I'm trying to handload a 9mm round that is as clean or cleaner than Winchester WinClean. I'm using Berry's encapsulated bullets, and I'll probably run W231 or HP38, but I can't seem to find any lead-free primers. I know PMC used to make them, but does anyone currently produce them, and where can I find them?

In my experience the hotter I ran the round the cleaner the powder burns. Look up W231 and run it as hot as the manual allows, for the bullet type your using.
Those winclean are a special powder mix!!

Yeah, that's what the general consensus seems to be. Run it hot and ensure a full burn of the charge.

I'm disappointed that lead free primers are not available. What would my next best option in primers be? I'm thinking cci, but thats only because it's so readily available. Is there a cleaner choice?
