Handloading for CSA 5.56 **VZ 58 .223 version**

Anybody handloading for their CSA's in .223?
I'm not new to reloading but I am new to loading for a military semi-auto in this caliber and am looking for tips on where to start for bullets, powder, primers,loading techniques etc.
I just bought an RCBS small base die and I will be loading on a Hornady LNL.
I'm hoping to use 748 powder is it should meter well.
The specs for this rifle claim a 1 in 7" twist but I was hoping to use a 55gr bulk bullet for plinking. Is the twist too fast?

The rifle with any factory 55gr bulk ammo I've tried is a 5 MOA rifle on average. Hoping to cut that in half.
Am I being realistic?

27 grains W748, any primer and a good 55 grainer is like clockwork. 25 grains of WC735 is just as good, but a heck of a lot cheaper.

Just ordered a csa 5.56 semi, looking into reloading for it, but never reloaded rifle

If you are going to use it for CQB, no need to load to full power. Easier to shoot quickly with a milder load. Try 5 gr less than max and see if it cycles and groups ok.

Update for anyone interested.

I have long since sold the rifle but I did load and test a good number of rounds.

I tried the 62gr Armscor bulk bullet that Henry N sells over BLC-2, H-355 and 748.

Average 10-shot groups at 50m with irons and rested was around three inches, these bullets were junk in my rifle.

Hornady bulk FMJ 55 grainers grouped consistently under two inches with 748.
These bullets have always been the best performing bulk bullet in anything I have shot them in.

I had some 69gr Matchkings I tried as well and that brought me right down to an inch and a half, but OAL was tricky due to mag length.

Optics would have tightened these groups up slightly.
