i finally recieved my AR and love it, got it the first week of Dec and have taken 15 songdogs so far (275yds down to 6 feet) but now i'm looking for a good handload for it i'm considering 25grs of either WW-748 or VARGET, under a 60gr V-max, any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I am using that surplus WC735 24gr from Higginson with a 50gr vmax. Winchester primer OAL 2.25". Positively deadly and accurate. The polymer tip is better because it will not hang up in the feed ramp like some lead nose or hollow points. Good hunting.

You can use Varget but it works best with heavier bullets like the 69gr and up ones. I've tired it with 60gr Vmax and one think forsure is that you will not over charge it by accident ;)
