So every time you purchase a "new" 12.x firearm it has to go to the RCMP to be inspected?

No only 12.3 that were not previous verified by the RCMP lab. When12.3 first came in all u needed was a letter from a gunsmith saying it was converted and how. Now RCMP want to inspect every 12.3 not verified by them during a transfer. My last one took 14 months. If u call them and ask how long it will take all they say is it is in line.
