Figured I would treat myself for my 19 bday. So I ordered this little beauty! Savage Mark II FV-SR, fluted short heavy barrel, scope rail, and threaded muzzle. Fitted with weaver rings and a 6-24 Tasco varmint with illuminated mil-dot reticle, Rock mount swivel bipod, butler creek sling and a custom fake suppressor purchased from a member. Slick little set up! Got a few gopher kills so far and a couple beavers, loves to eat remington ammo too, especially yellow jackets. Wutcha think?







 
Hey man great lookin rifle! I love my fvsr! Haven't tried the yellow jackets yet but it LOVES minimags!

And I know this is true for me, but I find a smaller target dot to aim at forces smaller groups. Might wanna give it a shot.
But good shootin as it is.
 
Hey, happy birthday an congrats on the new shooter! I think the FV-SR's short length is what makes them unique, so aside from the tactical/cool factor...I'd personally take a pass on the mock-suppressor...but to each his own. :) I've actually considered getting one of these rifles on numerous occasions..but can't justify ANOTHER .22 unless I can figure out how to shoot 2 at a time. :)
