Finally found some powder for my 357 mag. Alliant 2400. So I bought all they had!!!

1 lb. haha it's a start I guess. Now to find bullets.

Haven't bought powder in 2 years, stash of H110 is running low, heard nightmare getting them. Not looking forward to the hunt.

For .357 I went for an 8 pounder of IMR4227 a few years ago and still have a bunch left. Great for mixed power ranges. The lower the boom-factor the more unburnt grains you'll get. This one is for sure a max load powder. If you want a fantastic hot powder for .357 I'd also recommend TITEGROUP. Be cautious of your measure because its a fast burner and easy to double charge and you DO NOT want to deal with a double bang from this one! The good thing about Titegroup is it burns clean and a little bit goes a loooong way!

Use titegroup for my mid load, 5.8gr with my cast SWC 158gr. For Mag load use H110 that is def. a max load only powder.

Anyone compared H110 compare to IMR and Alliant powder? Tend to stick to H110 (44 Mag powder), just one powder to reduce headaches but wondering if I'm missing out.

I am new to reloading for 357, but I chose 2400 since I can use reg small pistol primers and good for med to max loads. H110 needs magnum primers and only max loads I believe.
