a tradition we had was that we went out after grouse and rabbits.we then changed it to new years day ice fishing .thats not happening this year so maybe im going for geese to starte a new tradition.will see what wifey thinks about it in the morning.theres nothing like the smell of gunpowder going off the first of the year.happy new year.!!!

Our tradition for many, many, years has been hosting an open invitation to a fin, fur, and feather dinner off the land on New Year's Day. Usually it would be moose, caribou, lake trout, and grouse or ptarmigan.

This year we are visiting our daughter and son-in-law, and just came home from a delicious Thai dinner of five courses! Quite different, and quite delicious.

Happy New Year everyone, and may the Good Lord pour out the Best of His Blessings upon you and yours in the days ahead!

Great idea. Such a nice thing to do every year and wonderful memories to have through the years.
