Hard S&B Brass?

So I bought a batch of once fired 308 brass, of the 115 of them a few were winchester and the rest S&B, of the S&B 2 had pierced primers and a few have extractor marks on the base.

I FL sized them all and there was a noticable difference in the S&B vs the Win, has anyone else experienced this? It was obvious that either more sizing or harder brass was the issue....

Anyone have any insight on this?

After the FL size and a quick tumble the brass all looks good, so I will load em up, just curious if that S&B brass is normally harder to size?

Thanks.

I have a bunch of range found S&B 308 that had dings in the extractor groove area that made them hard to chamber in a bolt action. This was likely caused by the gun they were fired in and could have been fixed with a file. I tossed them. I have had other S&B 308 that worked fine and I use S&B for my 6.5x55 and 7.62x54r loading with no problems I annealed the necks on these ones though. You might find annealing case necks helps your sizing issue, I had enough 308 brass that I didn't do any extra work to that last batch of S&B 308.
