I'm resizing some 303 british and its really hard to remove the case from the die. It goes in fine, but it's a hell of a time removing the case. Im using a RCB neck sizing die, with Lee case lube.

I spread the lube pretty sparsely over the entire case.

Anyone know what might be going on?

Thanks!

If you are using a neck sizing die, you should have little problem with this operation.
You should not need to lube the outside of the case at all.

Are you lubing the inside of your necks? This may be the issue, a lot of friction between the neck and the expander button.
Try lubing the inside of the necks with powdered graphite or Motor Mica.

Regards, Dave.

no, I haven't been lubing the inside of the neck....That might be my issue

I'll put money on it.

The easiest way I've found is touching the lube pad with the case neck, straight on. I don't roll my brass on the pad, I touch the pad with my fingers, then pick up the brass, then touch the brass to pad at 90*.
With case lube, less is more.

Pull your die apart and inspect the expander ball, if it is rough it can and will pick up brass and create a lot of drag. If the expander ball is rough then chuck it in a drill and "LIGHTLY" polish the expander ball with very fine wet and dry sandpaper. If you have vernier calipers or a micrometer measure the expander before you start polishing and make sure you go no more than .003 smaller than bullet diameter.

Things look a lot rougher when magnified and this expander was polished and when the inside of the necks are lubed it will be slicker than snot on a door knob.

just lubing the inside of the neck really helps but make sure you use a bore brush to wipe the crud out of the neck as well.

You don't mention how often these rounds have been reloaded. It may just be time to re anneal the necks. One of the first signs of hardening necks, is difficulty getting the expander ball to come out with relative ease.
