Harris Bipod

Also depends on your bench. All of my bipods are 9-13 which work well......except on a couple benches we have at our range that are a little high. I want to pick up a 6-9 next and give it a try. Seems like I use the 9-10 inch setting 90% of the time.

You need them both. The 9-13 is a little high on the bench and the 6-9 needs a manicured shooting position to shoot prone. Get the swivel model with notches and you may as well pick up pod-locks while you are at it. If you happen to shoot prone in snow on stubble fields then the 9-13 isn't high enough a lot of the time and you are left with using a high at the lowest setting and putting up with the added wobble. If you have kids that are old enough to go out with you, but too young to provide their own equipment then you may want to grab a cart when you enter the store. To get started though, buy a 9-13 LM Swivel with pod-lock and a rear bag.

Then they can lay there face down and hold their breath while I rest my 6-9 brm-s on their back :D

That is a good way of getting a little more elevation, but my kids won't hold still enough.:D They are too busy trying to shoot me into the poorhouse. It's mind-numbing how fast 3 kids can empty a case of long-rifle, and I've learned that I can never give my son more than 50 centerfire at a time. I had to buy his bipods or I'd never see mine again.
