Has anybody done the HK45 LEM lighter trigger?

Hi,
I have a HK45 LEM. The original 8 lbs trigger was just too heavy, so I decided to convert it to lighter trigger. I tried to order Trigger return string 209266 and Hammer spring 215694 from wolverine, but they told me I will need the TRS 209266 and Fire pin block spring 209296 according to what HK said. I listened to them and bought TRS 209266 and FPBS 209296.

I have installed the TRS 209266, and feel much better now. But I do not feel a difference after FPBS 209296 being installed. I think it does not make any sense to replace only TRS and FPBS. The TRS should be the only thing that will effect the trigger weight during a normal trigger pulling. In the case of a double action (after a misfire or dryfire), the trigger weight will be dependent on both trigger return spring (TRS) and Hammer spring(HS). A lighter HS will give a lighter trigger in the case of a double action, and a lighter HS will need a lighter fire pin block spring (FPBS) to match it. What is the benefit of installing a lighter FPBS without a lighter HS?

Has anybody done the LEM lighter trigger job? Any advice will be appreciated.

Casey at TacOrd did mine, he is a HK Armourer. From what I can remember the LEM "pre loads" the hammer to give you a lighter weight? what I noticed in mne, is that I wasn't pulling the hammer, all the way through like on a standard DA trigger.

Do you know what parts had been replaced?

Well finally got my LEM kit in the mail! And installed it in less than 30 minutes. It's pretty easy - I'd equate it to a trigger install on a 1911. A good punch/properly sized screwdriver is a must - but it was very easy.

Youtube - LEM installation - it's the first one that shows -the guy with the blue nitrile gloves. 4 parts - and it's a perfect install video. It's for a HK45C, but the instructions are the same.

A few little snags - but almost on cue the video addressed them in real time. :) Very simple. Just take your time and make sure you're not jamming parts together wrong. PM me if any questions!
