Has anybody tried out their flash bang yet?

I'm waiting for mine and want to make a video with my decibel meter.

I'd like to find a barn or something I can do it indoors.

I would like to compare with my VTG blank fire flash bangs before I buy any. Cost $100-150 but use 9mm or 12g blanks and nothing to do after use but pick it up,press down the firing pin and add a new shell at $0.10 I'm guessing loudness is the same or close to the 12g and the flash would hopefully (only reason I'd buy them) be greater than the VTG as its similar to a barrel flare as it vents out the 3 ports.

As far as rated sound a 12 gauge is supposed to be 165 and these are supposed to be 179

Lol key word supposed... And I don't have a decibel meter because the bang is loader than a shotgun because of direction and the smaller ports.

I can definitely test out a shotgun like just ahead of the barrel. Sound is only pressure so a shotgun shell can only make so much, just depends how it's directed for perceived loudness.

I have a professional sound meter and am waiting for them to arrive. A friend will hopefully sacrifice one for testing.

how stupid would it be to try on yourself? do you guys think there would be long term damage?

Very stupid. Beyond stupid, actually.

Please don't.
