Has anyone assembled a 9 mm AR?

get a colt version, less headache. no trial and error in shaving the hammer.
Colt: get a cmmg ramped bolt, runs fine on mil-spec trigger. Adjustable mag block to fine tune ejection pattern. last shot bolt hold open. Colt pattern 10 rnds pistol mag are hard to come by.
Lone wolf: may or may not fit on a regular lower/upper. They states that minor modification required. Proprietary bolt. Any glock mags work ( yes even KCI)

I know nothing about the Lone Wolf uppers. I did assemble a 9mm AR with a RRA mag block; Spike's Tactical buffer/spring; RRA 10 inch barrel, etc. Most of those parts are available from Questar. As mentioned make sure you get a ramped bolt. Mags can be an issue to find but they do come up regularly on the EE. Not cheap though. They make for a very reliable, accurate, gun. Worth the time and effort, IMO.
I built one on a lone wolf lower and a RRA upper. If you don't get a Lone Wolf 9mm bolt, you'll need to have the bolt machined to fit between the feed lips of the Glock mags. It also doesn't have the bolt hold open feature. I see that DDLES has a new lower that may work better and Lone Wolf has a new version as well that I'm not familiar with.
I decided to go with the Glock lower so I didn't have to buy new mags. It functions flawlessly as well!

Colt I have one of the few Ro634 9mm smgs that made it in years ago 10.5' barrel mags are bullet proof super heavey metal 20/5 and 32/5 IMPOSSIBLE to get these days I did get a dozen plastic mags few years ago
gun has been perfect except I broke the bolt hold open its a special one for this gun only was VERY VERY hard to find got 3 when I did, never broke another

Hmm, I definitely want to start accumulating the parts. I found a company that makes a lower that accepts Glock mags and has a last shot bolt hold open feature (something I feel is necessary on a modern gun). They don't have any available right now but the website is:

I have a 9mm AR built from an old Oly Arms system that takes Sten mags. It is quite a simple system but does require a small mod to the upper for the ejector. Doesn't hold open on the last round but it works flawlessly so far.
By far the best thing about this setup is the mag block drops in/out very quickly and easily so I can use that lower for other stuff too. I have a whack of Sten mags which helps.
Where are people getting 9mm conversion kits? I have a friend who wants a 9mm upper but I haven't seen anything on the EE.
