Has anyone cut their Stoeger Coach Gun down to 26"?

I don't think it's a good idea.

If you must do it why don't you get a cheap single barreled cooey? I mean, weight is the reason your doing this right?

oh, and one more vote for not cutting your gun. the novelty will wear off fast, and there pretty good for nothing without a buttstock.

Agreed. If you're hellbent on doing it, I'd consider getting a replacement buttstock and have it in hand before going ape with the sawzall. It'd be a pretty sub-optimal project if you did it, fired it a dozen times and realized it's terrible. Only then to find out a replacement buttstock isn't readily available.

If you do it, post pictures/video. I'm curious to see how it would turn out. Just not curious enough to cut down my Western Arms SxS. That'd be a chilly day in hell.

A lot of us made single shots. I like the idea of not having the opening lever in the web of my hand as a friends little shotgun bites me just about every time.
Here's mine with some stuff to compare to.
