I recently bought a Noble pump 12 gauge and paid about 200.00. It was in good shape and seemed to work okay. Just wondering if anyone has info on these shotguns. My dealer told me he thought was about 30 years old and was based off an Ithica.

I own one. A Model 50. Mine is definitely older then 30 years.
My Grandfather owned a little general store on the east coast of Nova Scotia and a salesman arrived there one day with a new pump action shotgun and wanted to leave it there in hopes my Grandfather could sell some. He liked it so much he bought it..for $49. I still have the owners pamplet with the price marked on it.
It was the first pump action shotgun in Guysbourough County.
It is one of the 4 guns I own that I will never sell.

That looks like the same model as mine. So you are very happy with it then. I have not fired mine yet as just got it. will take to range in near future. I wil update you on how it works. I am from NS also. How long ago did your grandfather purchase this for history sake? I paid around 200.00 for mine. Is in good shape.

I actually don't shoot it much. The stock is cracked right where it bolts to the receiver and I don't want to make it worse.
I'm leaving it like that because Dad cracked it when he was hunting ducks with my Grandfather many years ago.
The shell catch spring is worn out and it doesn't always hold the shells in the mag tube also. It works great as far as shooting goes. It has a full choke on it which limits its use for much more then ducks.
I'm not sure when my Grandfather bought it. I'll ask Dad if he remembers.
I'm betting it's around 50+ years old.

I've got a Model 40-A that was my fathers.

It also has a stock broken at the joint, caused by a fall with the gun.

Ellwood Epps had it for close to a year, but could not find a replacement.

The choke is external and adjustable just by rotating it, with 6 positions. Multy-Choke from The Multy-Choke Co., Hartford, Conn.

I had one a few years ago and loved it. The only reason i sold it was because of parts for it were hard to find and they are made different . The gunsmith told me that it was to hard to mod other guns part to make them fit

Just talked to dad..he was 13 or 14 years old when he got the shotgun so it's 55-56 years old.
