Has Anyone Ever Imported The AR15.com Lowers?

so I read today that the ar15.com billet lowers are the same design as the magpul china doll lowers. the only change is their logo. the billet lowers are marked caliber: 5.56 - and the forged are marked cal: multi, if that makes a difference. has anyone ever imported either of these, or can they be imported? And does anyone know if these are the same design as the mapgul china doll lowers?

From what I know...anything marked in a nato caliber has a tougher time getting exported from the US.

I'm sure its done, but is it worth the expense or paperwork?
 
multi. 5.56 is a nato caliber.

Often enough when it comes to AR15s, the stuff being exported is 223

The second AR I had was manufactured and advertised in 5.56, but the stuff being exported to canada was 223. It had a wylde chamber so there really wasn't much difference.

so both mutli and 556 are out is what your saying?
 
Don't know if anybody has ever tried getting them in before, although nice, I personally would prefer the Noveske FFL! (flared forged lower)

Nice flared mag well, integrated oversized trigger guard, and IIRC one of the venders is bringing in some of the stripped lowers.

Nice and simple yet elegant design.

Wasn't the ARFcom Lower for members only as a group buy?

Strippped Noveske Gen II FFL are on the way sometime by a board sponsor. Somewhere reported to be in the $600 range.

As an aside Spike's is offering this Ltd Ed. 3 selector for the pricey sum of $1k

The Gen II Noveske is a really slick looking lower. I like it better than the ARF.com or Magpul one for sure. The Magpul lower does have the unobtainium cool factor though.
