Has anyone ever used reclaimed shot?

reclaimed shot

I used reclaimed shot exclusively for skeet about 20 years ago .... when I could get it! It was good enough to get 100 straight ... I just wish I could get some more.
I live in Northern Ontario ... Sault Ste. Marie ... shot is obscenely expensive these days ... $45 a bag! I was in Sudbury yesterday and bought a bad for $40.

I saw a bag or reclaimed shot on a store a few days ago and on the label was something like "contains lead shot #6 to #9". No experience with reloading reclaimed shot, but my first thought was that if it is a "well graded" mix it will weight more per volume than a "poor graded" mix (i.e. all the grains - shot in this case - of the same size). Wouldn't the loads being heavier for the same bushing? Or the difference is nill?

Or the idea is to sieve it and separate by sizes?

Anyway, it was to expensive to give it a second thought as I bought magnum shot for less a couple of months ago; but this thread seems the appropriate place to ask

They reclaimed it a Vancouver gun club with a cement mixer for years, think of it as a over sized gold pan!!
