I have never had one bit of trouble with plastic sights on my any of my 6 Glocks. Has anyone had problems with the Glock factory sights? If so, what happened? Regards, Richard

as TDC says the front sight is garbage, I replace them with the factory looking non-tritium sight sight made by trijicon.... available from Lonewolf for around $15.99.
Otherwise I use the plastic rear but on the g17 I replace the +0 with a +1 because I tend to shoot low with factry glock sights.... again I buy all my parts from lonewolf, Ihave both the factory glock rear sight tool and the front sight wrench.

I should make something clear. What is that? The Glock 27 I use for a house gun wears Trijicon sights and none of my other Glocks are used for carry. I use another Glock (G19) as house gun and the rest as range guns. This should demonstrate my plastic sighted Glocks have been used but not subjected to the rigors of carry. Regards, Richard

Other than the fact that they suck, they have never been on long enough to have something go wrong.
x2 on that, either from knocking it on the holster or if your using something to brace the gun on.... thats why mine are all metal.
I had both the fixed and adj. rear sights come loose (the little flat spring on the bottom breaks). For that reason I've fitted all my Glocks with quality, steel fixed rear and fiber optic front sights. Personally I like the Heinie rear sight best.
