Well was out at the range and was shooting some .303 brit winchester with out any problems....then switched to some yugo mill surp stuff i picked up for $12 for 20 rounds and look what it did!!

got a good laugh though it was a joke. I had it happen to me twice , i tried some 150 in my 308 then i went back to the 180s and it hasnt happend since. I think the added length of the hevier bullet makes better use of my worn rifleing.

Was it Privi Partisan ammo? Or some unnamed surplus stuff?

Quite the target...I doubt it would be possible to do that on purpose...
 
If you were shooting an Enfield, the twist would be plenty fast enough to stablize. Either the bullets are coming out VERY slow or the bullets are undersized. If so, shooting them is hard on the barrel - gas cutting.

Put a mic or vernier on the bullets. Should be in the range of .311 to .312

Ammo companies make mistakes. You might have some 308 bullets.
