Has anyone ordered from Camera Land Inc?

They can't ship a rifle scope to Canada, but I have bought a spotter and a set of binoculars from them. They service is fantastic, Doug is a really good guy, both things I've bought from them were demo's and I couldn't find a mark on either of them. In both cases I saved a significant amount of money.
 
I know there is a problem shipping scopes north of the border, but I can't see any reason why a range finder would be any trouble. Like the other guys said, call them and see what they say. I too have ordered a set of Leica binocs from them and received them in about 5 business days.
 
I have heard great things about Camera land but I have not ordered from them. I did however order from a place called Optics Planet I have a pick up point in a close boarder town and these guys are great as well. I really don't know if they deliver to Canada but it may be worth a call or email. Good luck.

Cameraland states right on their webpage that they wont ship rifle scopes to Canada. I guess that way they don't have to bother with export paperwork. But, atleast they are up front about it.

They are great to deal with, I have a small issue right now and Doug is fixing it right up, no charge. :cool:

For scopes from the US look at Eurooptics.com. Alex and his son Corbin are great to deal with and will send you a price list (better prices than on his website) and the info you need to import a scope or 6 or 7 :D

I ordered a Nightforce Scope off him and had absolutely no problems. Just make sure to use a US Money Order as he has a 4% charge for CC.

I have also ordered a Spotting Scope off Doug and he was also great to deal with.
 
Ditto, small mistake on my invoice in there favor, but it was very quickly rectified and an apology was offered.

Also thought it was a nice touch to include a free cameraland hat in with my Leica 1200 LRF.

Spotted deer in the field the other night @ 488 yards, worked great, house on a hill @ 967 yards, I really think I am going to like this thing.
 
i just got a leica rangefinder off them, fast shipping,etc, but when canada post delivered it i had to pay $22.00gst $22.00 pst and a $ 8.00 delivery charge! not sure if that is the norm!????
 
i ordered my range finder from them and there was no problem and i was very happy with the service i was given and i will order from them again.
