has anyone put a scope on thier stevens trapper?

went out a played with my Stevens trapper in .22 mag the other day...

love the short little thing, but am thinking a low power scope would be just the ticket to get a little more out of it.

Anyone else thought (and/or) done this?

Yup, Sweet 22. Works very well out to 50 yards, reasonable at 100. Had far better plinking days with the cheap scope on a cheap gun with cheap ammo than I did with the sloppy factory sights.

I will definitely be keeping it around for fast and dirty bird hunting, if I had a pest problem out beyond shotgun range, I'd grab this. mmatt reached out to 300 with his on a gong, but I can't get it to group well after the bullet goes subsonic.

More important than the scope is the trigger job. I did tht scope and trigger and love mine now.

a compact red dot would bc nice to keep with the compact style.
