Hello.
Pulling my Colt commando from the safe the other day when I notice something strange. The rollmarks on the lower receiver seem to of been milled off at one time and new roll marks stamped. Appears to be factory as I have another receiver to compare it to and everything is the exact same, size and orientation of rollmark etc. SN is same size, font etc as well. Front and rear takedown pins fit tight so it doesn't appear to be re-rinished. Only the left side of the receiver had this, not the right side with the "LEO" rollmarks or the Colt's MFG above the trigger.
Has anyone seen this before? Instead of me speculating about what happened I wouldn't mind getting some input from people that may know exactly what had happened and what would be the instance that this would of been done.
Would this make the lower less or more desirable for collectors?
Thanks in advance.
