Has anyone shot both a 629 and a raging bull?

I just fondled the bull. Grip is nice, I like the size. Seems to be a strong gun. Not a fan of the double lockup.

What happens if you get a scratch? Brushed stainless is easy to take care of, not sure about the bull.

S&W 29-2 6.5", Raging Bull 6", Redhawk 7.5" and Super Redhawk 7.5". Prefer the Readhawks by far. The grip on the Bull is way too big and I don't find the porting tames the recoil all that much either. The S&W seems a tad too light for the .44mag. Just my own preference and observation.

It's too bad the ruger is butt ugly.

i find the original redhawk nicely proportioned and well balanced. the super looks great with a scope.

Maybe it's just me? But myself I think the Canadian 4.2 Edition would look a bit better to the eye, if it had the more slender dimenions of the 629 Mountain Gun.

perhaps............

we all have personal preferences. i think the canadian or 4" 29/629 is perfect. i don't like the look of thin, tapered barrels.

2.5 years after I purchased a lemon 629 it still hasn't returned to me. yup i definitely regret it. the worst part was cabelas was so terrible they wouldnt honor the sticker on the box saying they will RRR a defective firearm. they wouldn't even pay the $35 to send it to S&W warranty center which they didn't even know existed thus I had to waste my time finding it out myself. Thanks Cabelas.

the ruger gp100 still keeps on trucking on though and it was half the price.

barrel was loose from the factory from what I could tell after the fact. the barrel and the frame didnt jive together after the first 25 rounds. just normal factory .44 mag. at least it didnt blow off my hand.
