has anyone out there taken the trigger apart on a browning bps?? i know it says i shouldn;t but my friend says he takes apart his mossberg after every time it goes out of the house.. i always lube every part i can touch with a rag with the barrel off but have taken the next step to take the rest if my baby apart. please help
 
I take apart the complete action (minus the trigger) about twice a year. Do yourself a favour and DON'T take the trigger group apart, trust me...

DO get yourself a can of Birchwood Casey GUN SCRUBBER, a high-pressure solvent and degreaser.

Place the trigger group in a large container (it gets messy) I use the basement laundry tub. Proceed to go to town by using the thin red nozzle in every nook and cranny of the group. You'll be suprised at the crud that comes out of the thing! Let all the liquid evaporate and then lightly oil all the contact points with a high-quality oil.

I use the same method to clean the old man's Auto-5 once a year.
