Has anyone used a 375 winchester on BIG game

I haven't shot anything yet with my 38-55 but I can tell you the 235gr Speer bullet works awesome in the testing I have done so far, text book expansion and great weight retention. I am using a savage lever action, you may have to watch out for the spire points, they don't like to bump up against the primers of the next case in tube feeds.
Layne Simpson does alot of articles in Rifle magazine and used a 38-55 for black bear on the Island . He had a great time. He got two bears without incedent. If I come across it, I will let you know the volume number, maybe you can trace it, I do not remember the bullet/ load he used.
What kind of Bear are you going to chase?
As far as Moose goes, I doubt you would want to shoot much over 120 yds.
