Has the Marlin 1895 gone up in price????

Hey guys just woundering if the Marlin 1895 had gone up in price last time I looked you could pick up a brand new one for around 650 to 700.00 ish dollars. Reason I ask is because I notice there are some on here for considerably more that are 2nd hand.

Pre-2007 Marlins will command a higher price... QC has slipped considerably since Remington bought them out.

I purchased 1895g new for $560. It shoots and functions fine.

QC was poor from 2009, through 2011, but recent Marlins have improved significantly.

You're just seeing EE rip-offs.

Guy's selling used rifles for $200 more than new ones because they are "real" Marlins.

The older "real" ones are better than the new ones, all else being equal. But used and $200 more than new, is NOT equal at all.
