Once again you guys miss the whole point of the post and it's not due to my
communication skills but your lack of comprehension/non existant creativity.
Once you've owned a SKS you have been spoilt, super reliable, wont even
notice the charge on you bank statement and it's low recoil means you can
shoot for hours and hours without developing a Tick.
Okay so what comes next a M1 Carbine $1000 bucks and feeding issues,
ammo hard to find and not that cheap.
A Mini 14 for $800, I fired one and it didn't turn me on.
Moisen GAT, SVT dont do it for me because they look like the Russian
guy who designed them drank a bottle of Vodka for breakfast.
Swedish M42, loved it, should never have sold it, but ammo is
big money.
Famae 542 - I dont want to own a gun that has a girls name, I
have the three grand but if I bought one my wife would not
let me touch her for at least six months and prostitutes are
not my thing due to my Roman Catholic background.
A Norinco M305, my concern with this guy is I will develope a serious
Flinch when I fire it strictly due to what I read from other guys who
landed up in the Hospital for plastic surgery. Plus I usually shoot
alone and if I get badly wounded out in the middle of know were
I'll probably bleed to death all by myself which wont be fun.
Or we can stop being American type of endless consumers and just
enjoy what we have and get on with our lives. We can honour our
forefathers who worked hard and were thrifty with there money,
I bet you they would approve of the SKS concept as long as you
dont land up owning ten of them.
I did chop down a oak tree with my weapon, set up my tent/camp
next to a river and this tree was blocking my view plus I needed
something constructive to do, so after 8 or
so beers I started firing at it repeatedly, luckily I had a full case
of ammo in the trunk of my car, it did fall down. The using my
SKS as a Woodchopper/AXE was a fairy tale, no harm in that
kids are read them all the time to no ill effect.
