I bought this on Ebay for $40. It is a miniature camera hidden in a car door remote. A small remote.

It shoots 80 minutes of HD video, with sound, on a single battery charge. It has been developed with the help of an active talented group of RC airplane guys who wanted a light camera for models.

It is so small and light it could easily be stuck on a gun. I have it on my hat brim with a tab of Velcro.

I look forward to wearing it for CQB this summer.

No catch. It is known as a 808 #16.

Automatic colour balance. works in low light. You can take the cover off and turn the lens to adjust focus. Mine is focused farther than my extended hand, so my pistol is not crystal sharp. But good enough for my purposes. Target is sharp.

Files are huge. I have a 4 G micro card in it because that is about the size of a full battery charge of recording.

It will also take single snap shots. I will take a picture in sunlight tomorrow and post it here.

Here is a snap shot I just took with it.

I also shot a short video for You Tube. Make sure to set your You Tube to HD to see the best quality picture and watch it full screen.

I think hunting would also be a perfect application for this.

If you want to buy one, you should know that the main buyer of these units is the RC airplane crowd. This model is the result of their input. They buy only form the guy who makes them, known on Ebay as dealer Eletoponline365 There are reports that some other dealers are selling older units as the #16.

okay I am pretty impressed. I like my contour roam plenty, but this looks like same quality of video as contour (minus 1080p), but for ~$50 instead of $200+ for the contour. Mind you the contour roam is waterproof and shock proof, longer battery, etc, but if this thing lasts then its a great find.

here is the roam on an AR15: (can mount it on carry handle, stock, etc)

The RC airplane guys suggested the dealer I used and one of the rewards was an excellent set of pdf instructions written so I can actually understand them. The one task that will challenge me is to go into the camera set up file and change the time and date. It automatically puts a small date stamp on every video.

When I was searching Ebay I cam across another camera for $15. This one is slightly bigger than a USB thumb drive, shown for comparison.

The small size, flat shape and cheap price make it suitable for situations where the camera might be lost or destroyed, like on my son's hockey helmet.

It has an on/off button and a picture button. A short poke will take a snap shot, like this:

A one second push will start the video. I have a 4g micro card in it. Picture quality is not as good as the $40 camera (HD), but it is much better than no video at all.

At only $15, every CQB shooter could have one of these on his hat brim to video his rifle and pistol shooting.

Instructions are in Chinglish, so you have to play with it a bit to figure it out.

Here is a video test I posted on YouTube:

That's pretty damn good video quality for $40.
I've been close to picking up a GoPro for a year now but this (or 2x) would fill the gap for now, great find!
