Hate Neutered Magazines?

Is it just me or do some of you get more offended and disgusted the greater the number of rounds you lose in our Canadian neutered magazines?

Example, I can not stand a full size Glock due to the loss of 7 rounds from the standard magazine, I see it as wasted space and bulk. Back in the old days I remember emptying 3 normal capacity Glock 17 magazines as part of my range practice....:( On the other hand I can tolerate (just barely) losing 3 rounds from a more compact gun like the HK P2000 or the Sig P229. The slimmer grips seem to compensate. I shoot really well with a Walther P99 but losing 5 rounds irks me more than the 3 from my HK P2000. I used to love the Beretta 92FS but with 10 rounds only, it's size and bulk seem unnecessary.

I just giddy happy with single stack magazines of all persuasions!

Anyone else have this mindset???

Of Course not:eek:

I've enjoyed putting on extra weight just so I can have a bigger belt to accomidate extra mags to have the same round count as yester-year.

At least we've been able to exersize ourself with relentless mag changes, and saved our thumbs from those nasty 17 rounds. 10 is so much easier to count than 17 or 13.

Nuff sarcastic nonsence yet?

Cheers to the good ol days!

Explaining the madness....

As I've pointed out before....

Before the nonsense.... 15 shot 9mm mag [legal].

After the nonsense...... 10 shot 9mm mag [legal].

Shooting a 30 round 'target'.....

Before: 2 mags

After: 3 mags

Difference?

One reload..... milliseconds.

Wow, we're all so much "safer" now, no?

those laws are designed, i think, for shooters with no experience... For instance, take a young angry teen, he buys a gun aims at someone, shoots, misses all 10, has no skill to reload the mag, the pray is safe:)

INGENUOSITY

Of course we all hate our 10rds cut/pinned mags, but we have do deal with it, 10 is better than nothing, we were close to get a 0 rnd mag capacity upgrade with the past elections, we still have our hated 10 rounds mags.
If a pinned mag is so hateable, buy a 1911, the 8+1 rounds are still available.
I don't own any guns right now (turned 18 in june, CFSC november 8th and CRFSC later :D), but I want my first gun ever to be a Walther P99 (I love so much the new generation, they are sooo beautiful and always sucj a quality piece), even if I can't have a 15+1 mag capacity, I am still happy to be able to get 10+1 mags, I think it's better than nothing.

exactly all the law did was make me learn how to reload faster...:D

It's "standard capacity" :)

I hate it as well, but it didn't hit the single stack 1911 guys too hard.

I'm sure it also helped decide the 9mm vs. .45 debate that raged during the 1980s and early '90s.

If you're going to be limited to 10 rounds, they may as well be .45s! :) :stirthepot2::nest::evil:

I was in the States this summer and got to shoot my Uncles carry gun, which is a Sig P226 SCT and the stock mags hed 20 9mm's!

After shooting 10 rnd mags here in Canada, I though the mag would never empty!

I agree with NAA.

The only thing worse is a person who worships ghey Euro pistols.:puke::p

Hey, think of it this way, you can store batteries and other things in the bottom of your mags. They were just thinking of you when they did that.

Oh, its been a long day of shooting with a breeze. My lips are chapped. I know, I will just go into the bottom hollow(should have bullets but the governments wants me to have a storage compartment) portion of my magazine and boom, lip balm baby. And I have ten rounders for my 1911..hehe. They stick out but why not.

While I love auto's, I would still trust my life to a revolver. The capacity is still six or even five.
