I ordered a Glock 19 from DLASK about two weeks ago and man it is killing me to wait for all the paperwork to clear. (The CFO is sending someone down to ensure that all the G19s have the appropriate bbls before they can complete the transfer). I even got my spare mags from QUESTAR already - got a nice BH SERPA holster en route and 2400 rds of 9mm to shoot. I am dying to get this darn pistol! It seems like only a few years ago it was like a 1-2 day wait to get an ATT and bang off I could go to the range. Anyone else waiting for a pistol? :runaway: At least my Custom Leupold Mk 4 finally got back last Tuesday - only a year since from the date I ordered it to the time it had to be sent back to the factory to actually get to use it... I guess patience is a virtue. :jerkit:

I ve been waiting 6 months for a SA TRP OPERATOR , 1 month for a Tavor and now 2 days for an STI RANGER II .

edit: oh and 4 days for my HP laptop .

I just received my glock 22 from Armco yesterday, going to the range after
work today to try it out.:) It took about 2 weeks from order date to arival..
I am waiting on a S&W 686 to be transfered and shipped, it will be a bit yet I just started the transfer.:( Oh well i guess i will just have to buy another one and see which one comes first.:) You can never have too many!

Can it really take months for an ATT? I though you could phone them and do it over the phone, and they'll email you a copy you can print.

Don't forget revolvers as well. Going on 3 months now for a current production S&W I ordered. Since I am involved in an industry where waiting is, in most circumstances, NOT an option, it really eats away at me.

It took a while for me to receive the G19 from Dlask Arms as well. Interestingly enough, I'm putting it up for sale in the EE later tonight. I thought it would be useful as a backup gun for IPSC, but it turns out that when they say "service level accuracy", they seriously mean "service" level. Nice look and feel, though...

;)

Thats why I like buying at TSE.....while you wait for the transfer to go through you can leave it there and as long as it's paid for, you can shoot it whenever you want! :)

I still haven't waited more than 3 days for a transfer....weird.

Just received a rimfire rifle and new-to-me S&W revolver in the same shipment from Marstar exactly 9 days after ordering. It took 3 working days for the ATT and Transfer Notification to arrive (whereupon I called Marstar to let them know we were good to go...)

bnichols

P.S. I'm in Nova Scotia

I just ordered a 1991A1 from marstar....I have a longterm ATT and no range membership. I only go to the range like 8 or 9 times are year and just do drop ins because it's cheacper for me then buying a membership.

Well...let's see if I get any hassle.

Reading this thread takes me back 20 years or so when registrations on restricteds were done 'locally' [there were no "prohib" handguns back then]. Often you could purchase a handgun in the morning and be shooting that afternoon....

'Course mail-order was a little more difficult, you had to send your actual FAC to the seller and then wait for the requisite paperwork to follow. :(

In Ontario those days weren't so good. I would have to drive to an OPP detachment 30 miles away to get an ATT. Then I would have to take the gun to said detachment where it was kept until the green slip arrived.
Then back up to pick up the gun, sometimes 4-6 months later.

It's better now even with two week wait times.:(

I don't know the ins and outs of pistol verification but that is what I was told by DLASK and it isn't like they charged my CC or anything - so on I wait.

Soli: I am suprised that you say the G19 was not grouping well. Hopefully mine shoots well but in the end it is a combat type pistol so I don't care if it makes pinholes -everyone knows that handguns are only for last lines of defense anyway :) I will see how mine groups with the BDX ammo I got and I will primarily use it for practicing the old quick draw/dbl tap skills. Center of Mass is all I am looking for.

Don't know about the Glock but you got a great holster for it that's for sure. I have them for my 226 and my Kimber 1911. Got a couple more other guns to get before I visit Glock City.
