Any shogun that looks like this one is all made by the same Turkish company. There are multiple names on them such as hatfield, pallas, sinsinati and armed to name a few. Many different models such as wood, hammer and hammerless, also in different barrel lengths.

In my opinion once you decide on the model/variation you want you can shop by price ($5-$50 difference), by the store you want to support, or by what name sounds cooler to you. If you snoop around the site sponsors you will see what I mean.
I agree they are great camp guns. I have been debating buying one for a while. My research shows that the caliber adapter are a cool idea but don't work well because accuracy is junk. Apparently 12ga to smaller shotgun gauges work great though. I have heard rumours that they are going to be making different barrels for them so you can just change the barrel out to different calibers. Kinda the H&R single shots use to do
