Hatsan Defenders. Dealers! When?

Folding stock versions would be restricted, regardless of semi-auto or not... Site lists them at 34.2" open, 24" w/ stock folded... And it needs to be what, 26.5" to be non-res?

So might as well get the semi if its gonna be R no matter what.

So an extended choke, modified breacher or stock spacer would put it at 26" folded. Hmmmm....

a 2.5" stock spacer?

And I dont think an extended choke would count. Its not a permanent addition. That would be like saying adding a flash hider to a threaded barrel could make it NR, which Im pretty sure it doesnt. I would think you'd need to weld that extended choke on for it to count, if that is even enough.

edit - they are fixed cylinder choke. So unless you want to go get it threaded for chokes, I think you are out of luck with that idea.

Yeah, I have a folder that I already explored and it's under 26" with it.
I put a collapsible on it making it capable of 30". I keep it at 32" though for comfort.

Fair enough. So if it's going to be restricted.... anyone have the semi in stock?

Actually the FA states 460mm which is 18.11024 inches. The 18.5" comes in as a "safety" measurement when cutting down longer barrels to the shortest allowable length keeping it NR.

I was just going by what is posted on the RCMP's website, where it states that a non-restricted firearm is "any rifle or shotgun that is neither restricted nor prohibited" and that a restricted firearm "has a barrel less than 470 mm in length."

Either way, I'm sure we're all in agreement that these look like great shotguns and we all wish we could enjoy them at venues other than just the range.

^ One thing I don't like is scraping my hand up on a forearm mounted picatinny rail... probably the only thing I don't like about this shotgun.

I never had any issues in that regard. Your hand doesnt come in contact with the lower forend rail at all. ^^^^

The ONLY draw back with these is the pinned forend, but I've never had any of mine fail on me yet. One of my guns does wobble at that contact point though.

You're still satisfied with it overall?

Anyone know who the Hatsan importer is and if this shotgun is coming?
Bell Lifestyle.
A CGNer here has a close contact or knows more of the Hatsan distribution side of things. I forget his name though. Maybe he'll see this thread...
