Hatsan escort 14" question

I just got my Hatsan in the mail and I think for the sale price, it's pretty cool little shotgun but I have a question.

The magazine cap is an open ended nut with a sling mount on it, but the end is open. It's crimped so the spring stuff doesn't come out, but I can push in the assembly with my finger from the end.

Is there supposed to be a closed end cap on the end?

Just curious. It's a strange thing to try to google, I've kinda tried.

Thats the finished end. Poke a screwdriver in it and tilt and it will pop out to get the spring etc.out.

But shouldn't there still be a cap over the end?

I just saw a video, looks like it does not. Kinda weird you would think dirt might get in there some how maybe?

Oh well, haven’t shot it yet, but feels decent for the price.

I have one of these and the end cap is the same. It was strange to me at first as well but it isn't a problem in use and theoretically should allow draining of any water that entered the mag tube (mine is the nickel marine version). It's a great little shotgun and I've had a lot of fun with mine.
