Hatsan MPA choke adapter - project complete!

After what seemed like forever, I finally have a completed adapter. I used a 6" piece of shotgun barrel that was tapped for remchokes. I had someone make me a coupler that uses the existing external threads. The shotgun barrel piece was slid into that and welded. Bought myself a turkey choke today to try it out. Wow, what a difference!

Interesting! Now lets see some patterns both with and without the choke.

Certainly looks like it tightened things up... did it move your POI?

I think it may have very slightly to the left. Will have to verify that.

I don't think anything is going to fly through that pattern. What distance?

I need to measure it, but I'm guessing about 10 yards.

My string and kitchen tile measuring system says 48 ft, the handheld (sonic?) measuring thingy says 53 ft. So 16/17 yards.

I assume the Hatsen MPA's couldn't be threaded for chokes with out the adapter?

I believe that there are a few who have sent their barrels out to be tapped for chokes. Iirc, the trade portion of the barrel was cut off and then tapped. I choose this method so as to preserve the ability to return to factory stock.
