I plan on buying a PCP Air Rifle. Trying to decide between the Hatsan AT44 and the Gamo Coyote. Both are sold by Air Gun Source, and are available in .25 caliber. Mostly use it for small game. Anyone have experience with these guns and maybe give me some guidance. Thanks......

Heard nothing but good things about the AT44.

Theres a video on youtube of a guy hunting pigs with the gamo coyote. It looks like a real beauty. Havent looked into the hatsan so i cant speak on it

Yep, I've got that Hammerli Pneuma in .22, too. Fantastic value. As gwilder said, it's identical to the Hatsan AT44.

I've spent some time tuning mine, and it now shoots for 30+ good shots around 820 fps with 18.13gr JSBs. It is insanely accurate for the price. I bought it used for $275 on the CAF. It can now regularly shoot 1/2" groups at 50 yards with those preferred JSB pellets, but it shoots sub 1" with almost anything. Mine isn't pellet picky at all. I've been shooting starlings and rabbits at over 50 yards with it, no problem. I tune it down for field target shoots, and have pulled off very respectable scores. The magazines are reliable and cheap.

My only gripe with it at all is that it is quite heavy. 8 lbs before scope is on the heavier side, but not the end of the world.
